Cremyll Street
Originally a path led to what was known as Cremill Point and in time this became known as Cremyll Street.
Before the Royal William Yard was built the ferry to Cremyll left from Cremill or Cremhill Point or Crimble or Cribly Passage - call it what you will - and Cremyll itself was in Devon. Indeed until 1844, along with the rest of Maker it was part of West Stonehouse.
Today the ferry runs from the opposite end of Cremyll Street.
